北海道で初開催のDuckhorn Vineyards Special Dinner　ダックホーン・スペシャルディナーが初開催されました。

Karl Coveney カール・コヴェニー氏が初来道。

思えば、2022年にKarl Coveney カール・コヴェニー氏と東京で、初めてお会いしました。その時には、「ぜひ北海道でダックホーンのディナーを開催しましょう！」（画像はカール氏と私）その約束がついに実現します。

ダックホーンは、何十年にもわたりホワイトハウス御用達として有名で、大統領晩餐会では各国首脳に振舞われています。

最近では、メジャーリーグのマスコット犬、デコピンの飼主がお祝いにプレゼントで振舞っているワインとして話題となりました。今回は北海道で初めてとなるダックホーン公式メーカーズディナーでした。

ロンドンの金融界に12年間従事した後、ワインの世界へ進出。

2018年以降、カリフォルニア州ナパバレーを拠点とするThe Duckhorn Portfolio のマーケティングディレクターを務めています。

プロフェッショナルソムリエ向けの講義の評判が良く、ナパヴァレーのテロワールや微小気候も熟知。カリフォルニアで最も影響力の有るソムリエの一人と言われています。

Recently, it gained attention as a wine presented in celebration by the buyer of Major League Baseball mascot dog, Decopin. This event marks the inaugural Duckhorn Official Maker's Dinner in Hokkaido. Karl Coveney, Director at Duckhorn, served as the guest speaker, delving into the allure of Duckhorn wines.

Karl Coveney Profile:A distinguished graduate of University College Dublin's School of Economics, Karl Coveney embarked on a career in London's finance sector for 12 years before transitioning to the world of wine. Since 2018, he has served as the Marketing Director for The Duckhorn Portfolio, based in Napa Valley, California. Recognized for delivering lectures highly regarded by professional sommeliers, he possesses deep knowledge of Napa Valley terroir and microclimates, earning him a reputation as one of California's most influential sommeliers.
